Do You Value What Comes Easily To You?

Gift This week I was interviewed twice and both women asked me why I’m called the Get it Done Girl. What I shared is that last year I stepped into my gift and began doing something that comes easily to me – I get things done easily. The truth is I’ve always gotten things done quickly but I’d never paid much attention to it. It’s kind of just what I do.

It wasn’t until last year when a mastermind friend said in very clear words - “Kim, I’ve never seen anyone get things done as quickly as you do”, that it really sunk it. For some reason, the timing of her comment and where I was in my own personal development, allowed me to really hear her. I acknowledged what she said, internalized it and stepped into it.

Prior to that conversation, I hadn’t done anything more with my gift. I hadn’t even paid much attention to it. I was just getting my own stuff done. I wasn’t helping others to get their stuff done.

What I’ve noticed for myself and what I want to share with you is the importance of noticing that which comes easily to you, and placing value on it. What’s easy for you probably isn’t what comes easily to others. And, if you’re like most women, you’re probably taking your gift for granted.

We do that to ourselves very often. We don’t often value that which comes easily.

For me, stepping into my gift, opened up so many opportunities that I could never have imagined a year ago. My suggestion to you is to really notice what’s easy for you. Are you valuing it? If not, take a new look through fresh eyes. See what is possible. I’d love to hear what your gift is, please share it with me.
